About New Hope

New Hope Christian Center:

We are a non-denominational body of Spirit-filled believers located in Oak View, California. We are affiliated with Grace International, a worldwide fellowship of churches and ministries.


We believe:

  • The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God (1 Timothy 3:16 )
  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deut 6:4 ; Matthew 28:19 )
  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ - His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death and resurrection and His glorious return (John 1:1 )
  • The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ (John 14:6 )
  • Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation (Titus 3:5 )
  • In water baptism by immersion (Matt 28:19 )
  • In divine healing in answer to believing prayer (1 Peter 2:24 )
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4 , is given to believers who ask for it.
  • In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit who gives power to live a holy life. (Galatians 5:16-25 )
  • In the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 24:1-44 )
  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation (Revelation 20:11-15 )

 

Our Mission: 

To come alongside the Holy Spirit in order to effectively use all resources and available means to... 

  1. Introduce non-believers to Jesus, that they may believe and trust in Him; that they might come into relationship with Him.
  2. Encourage and assist believers to become fully-devoted followers of Christ.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." [Matthew 28:19-20 NIV]

At New Hope our desire is that everyone feels welcome and loved as part of the family of God. Our purpose is to reach people for Christ to see them restored, readied and released into effective Kingdom service.
